How do I wind fishing line from a spool to a closed face reel ?
Take the head off the reel. Remove any old line from the reel. Feed the new line through the hole in the cap of the reel then tie the line onto the lineholder of the reel with a couple of basic knots. Wrap the line around a few times manually (in the direction the reel would wrap it). Then put the cap back on and reel in enough line to handle what you are fishing for.
