Either way, you can tackle it quickly and efficiently is you are organized and know "how" to approach cleaning a big job, room by room and through each room. Here's how!
First, make a checklist. Put on there everything you need to do. If it looks to long just keep adding items. Take it with you in your pocket to every room and a pencil, too. The idea is to cross off everything you finish so you get a great sense of accomplishement as you move through the house. It also reminds you of things you might forget so you never have to go backwards.
Always start at one end of the house and work your way to the other. If its multiple stories start at the top and work your way down. If its one level, start in the bedrooms and work you way to the kitchen.
In each room, always clean top to bottom. Start at the ceilings with cobwebs and spider webs and work your way down the walls, windows and to the floors.
Wash walls, windows and then vacuum. After vacuuming dust. When you dust, start at the top and work down.
Be mobile and prepared. Take all your cleaning tools with you into each room. Avoid unnecessary trips back and forth.
Unplug the phone and turn off the T.V.
Eliminate clutter as you go, too. An uncluttered home looks better than one that is dust-free but strewn with odds and ends.
A house that smells fresh will give the impression of cleanliness. Leave baking soda on carpeting for the night to absorb musty odors, vacuum in the morning. Place natural soy candles scented with oils around the house. Lightly scented but not overpowereing cleaners will give your house that special "nose sparkle" clean, fresh scent.
Keep a big mat on both front and back porches to cut down on tracked in dirt.
Keep a basket in the kitchen for the mail, newspaper, car keys to help with clutter.
Keep a hamper in every bathroom and in each child's room.

A ceiling fan consists of three basic parts, namely the motor; blades and the mounting device. The standard ceiling fans comprises of three to five blades. The numbers and sizes of the blades determine the prices of the fan. The more the number of the blades, the costlier is the fan. Price also depends on the length of the ceiling fan blades which is measured by the full blade sweep they produce. There is no universally fixed size for the ceiling fan blades; length varies with the brands. In the high quality ceiling fans, the spin lengths vary between 30, 42, 44, 46, 50, 52 and 60 inches diameter.
The quality of the fans is rated by their performance in moving the air effectively and quietly. This is conditioned by such factors as the pitch, length, and number of ceiling fan blades, and their revolutions per minute (rpms).The angular edges of the ceiling fan blades are termed as the pitches which are particularly important for the effective replacement of the air. This shape enables the blade to apply pressure to the air in front of it and consequently the air is forced downwards.
Higher pitches allow more replacement of air. High quality ceiling fan blades have a pitch of 12-14 degrees. A blade pitch as low as 8 or 10 degrees leads to poorer performance. While the short ceiling fan blades with minimum pitches can swirl at a High Speed, they do not make for much air circulation and they are noisier than the types of fans with longer blades and higher pitches though they rotate more slowly.

Different materials like solid wood, cross-laminated veneer and less-expensive veneered constant-density boards are used to render the ceiling fan blades a smart and contemporary looks. There were various altruistic attempts by local government to solve housing problems in the period in question. Off the back of the Victorian era, people realised that slums had been a breeding ground both for disease and for social ills generally.
After the passing of the artisan's dwelling act (google for it) there was a general movement towrds better housing. In England, this manifested itself in the Garden Cities movement (see Ebenezer Howard and Letchworth Garden City)
After the war, councils began to build council housing on a large scale, but then the provision of "normal" housing estates got overtaken in the 1960s by the idea of "slum clearance" and the building of high rise flats.
Although these were hailed at the time as the answer to the problem of social housing (Glasgow is a case in point here) they in fact created as many problems as they solved. By and large, most local authorities were starting to think about pulling them down by the late 1970s
Then Thatcher came to power in 1979 and started the policy of a) stopping councils bulding new housing and b) selling off the existing housing stock to tenants under the "right to buy" legislation. Subsequent governments (even Labour ones) have spinelessly followed this diktat like the gutless runts they are.
