McCarthy also noted that the most important aspect of surfing that many lovers of the sport seem to ignore is the nature of the prevailing conditions. To many, high currents are the best. It is worth noting that whether to surf entirely depends on the weather. As Mr. McCarthy put in his words, “Check the weather and tides before going out. The weather can change completely within a matter of minutes.”
The world renowned legend was also aware by the fact that all sports come with their risks; the biggest of the risk in surfing is witnessed when surfers on a mission get caught up in ripples of huge waves. As mitigation technique it is was advised to paddle across the wave no matter how hard it may seem but never should any surfer try to go against the wave as the consequences can be disastrous.
On the
